Having grown up on the South Side of Chicago, Mr. Johnson’s inner strength and determination have helped him succeed despite a difficult upbringing.  As an African American male,  Mr. Johnson is seen as a role model in his community.

Currently Mr. Johnson maintains a successful retail business in Chicago, and operates as Act 2 Records’ Vice President.  Mr. Johnson is the person who is responsible for the marketing & promotion of both the Label and individual artists.  It is Dan’s tenacity that really is the key to opening up doors for up and coming artists. 

Prior to his involvement with Act 2 Records, Mr. Johnson was General Sales Manager (GSM) of a major Urban Radio Station in Chicago.  He was in fact, the youngest GSM in the country.  And during his tenure there helped increase sales by over 34%.  Before that, Mr. Johnson was the leading Account Executive for Crawford Broadcasting in Chicago. 

Mr. Johnson currently resides in Chicago, IL with his wife and 2 children.
